Short Sands Beach Attractions
Short Sands Beach has many attractions including nearby dining options, playground area, shops, arcade and amusement house as well as an amusement park. Kids will love a visit to York’s Wild Kingdom, Maine’s largest zoo and amusement park. The zoo is home to over a hundred species of wild animals from all over the world, just a short walk from the beach and town. The Wild Kingdom is conveniently located right in York Beach, near shops, dining and Short Sands Beach. Kids will also enjoy Golden Rod, a tourist favorite since 1896, where you can watch the making of mouthwatering salt-water taffy in the window.
